My goals for this Year... {well a good start}

I have set a few goals this year... atleast a good start until april!
I am hoping to post some tutorials on simple sewing projects for all you beginners out there.
Girl stuff, boy stuff, and house stuff is my focus!

Here is a list through april... {tell me what you think}

How to make draperies {february project}
How to make a bumper pad {february project}
How to make an adjustable crib skirt {february project}
How to make t-shirt dress {february project}
How to do simple hand-stitches {march project}
How to make a pair of short with a ruffle {march project}
How to make a pillow with cording {march project}
How to make a simple diaper bag {april project}
How to insert a zipper {april project}
How to applique a t-shirt by hand {may project}
to be continued...

I hate to get too far ahead of myself :)

Also, I would love to have some guest bloggers!

  5. YAY!!!! Can you hear me cheering? :) I'm most excited about curtains (Roman shade, perhaps?) and a ruffle. Since I'm always sewing for the boys, I have yet to attempt to make anything for friends' baby girls . . . but now, I'll have no excuse!

    I'm thinking about doing a post on keeping your child's wardrobe simple. I tend to get carried away each season and end up with things they rarely wear or that don't match very many things. I'd love to get your input on what you've found to be Little Boy Essentials for Spring and Summer wardrobes. Maybe I could be a guest blogger--or you could guest blog on mine? :)

  6. Jill! I would love for you to be a guest blogger on that!!!! I definitely try to do the same because the more stream lined the better!

    I do not iron :) So my clothes are pulled out of the dryer, folded and then put into the drawers. This means that I have to be limited, because of space! I began to fold the matching shirts with the shorts last summer for Buddy and the system worked great... until now he is too big for matchy matchy :) sad... anyways... Elastic shorts are a MUST for little boys potty training and you can't beat a cute appliqued shirt to go with it! I also love a Jon Jon but realize that it takes time to iron! So i guess we really live in "spruced up" t-shirts and cute print cotton shorts, with a jon jon here or there. What do you guys wear mostly???

  7. Yes!! I just declared the other day that our living room needs new drapes. REALLY looking forward to that tutorial! I wonder if drapes are similar to making your own shower curtain??
