So I was looking back over my list of things that I was planning to do the first of the year and I know that I am short a few items, but I promise that they are coming soon.
I am making some baby bedding next month {girl} but the toot {tutorial} will be posted soon :)
I wanted to share my next project coming up here on Cool People Sew...
I have had a lot of emails/comments from girls wanting to learn to sew.
So that is what we are going to do.
I know that some of you are more advanced, so we are going to start basic basic basic and move up!!!
You can start or pick up wherever you would like to :)
I want to give one on one attention to you!!!
I want you to email me!!!
I want you to ask me questions!!!
I want to be your teacher and help walk you through this wonderful {although sometimes stressful} journey!!!
So grab a friend/daughter/neighbor and join in this journey together!!!

The first session of classes May 2-6 will look like this...
{titled: I wanna learn to sew, by hand}
1. let's learn about thread.
2. let's learn about fabrics.
3. let's learn about differences in needles.
4. let's learn how to sew on a button. {threading a needle, tying your thread, tying off your thread}
5. let's learn some basic hand stitches and when to use them.
The second session of classes May 9-13 will look like this...
{titled: I wanna learn to use a sewing machine}
1. let's talk about differences in machines and what to look for in a first machine.
2. let's talk about the parts of a machine.
3. let's talk about how to thread a machine. {or find out how to thread your machine}
4. let's talk about how our bobbin.
5. let's talk about different stitches on your machine and how to adjust them.
We will continue these sessions... {through May and into June}

This is so exciting! I can bang out a few things on my sewing machine, but I still have a LOT to learn. I'll think of some questions and let you know.

This is a great idea! I almost threw my sewing machine off the pier this week as I just couldn't follow a pattern! Duh! Will defo have some questions for you!
